London's largest festival dedicated to African cinema, Film Africa, kicks off on Friday night and will host a jam-packed weekend of exciting events to get stuck into.

Highlights include 'The Kids Are OK', which explores Nigeria's vibrant, youth-driven creative scene, and 'Record Found Here', a documentary detailing the Egba Women's Revolt, a resistance movement against colonial taxation in the late 1940s in Abeokuta. All of the screenings will be held at various venues across London, including the iconic British Film Institute (BFI) in Southbank, Rich Mix in Bethnal Green and Ciné Lumière in South Kensington.

Film Africa is one of the most celebrated showcases of African cinema in Europe and will take place until November 3, with more details on their website here.
