You are cordially invited to a spooky storytelling performance by author and actor C.J. Carter-Stephenson.
Prepare to be scared as C.J. brings two of his horror stories vividly to life with words, projected images and an immersive soundscape. This readers theatre extravaganza will take you from the wilds of the Old West to the far reaches of space.
In the first story, “And Justice for One”, a cowboy finds himself being haunted when he accidentally kills a child in a saloon. Taking its cue from horror pioneers like M.R. James and Edgar Allan Poe, it's an eerie tale of gambling, gunfights and things that go bump on the prairie.
Next on the programme is “Destination Earth”, a creepy science fiction story in the vein of movies like “Alien” and “Event Horizon”, in which an astro-investigator travels up into space to find out why a mining ship has failed to reach its destination.
This performance of Tales in the Key of Terror is part of the 2024 Camden Fringe Festival and is taking place in the atmospheric surroundings of St. Paul's Church in Camden Square. See the spooks, hear the screams and have a howling good time. The dramatic and fast-paced event is one you won't soon forget.
