It's hard to imagine with all the food festivals all over the place all of the time, but there's actually no proper burger festival to be found anywhere in London. That's about to change with the arrival of the simply named Burger Fest this September.
Taking place at the Signature Brew brewery in Walthamstow, Burger Fest is organised by the team behind successful food fests The Tacover and Slice-o-mania, and at this point, you probably already know more or less what to expect. A dozen of the best burger joints in the UK will be pitching up their stalls in front of the brewery and slinging burgers across two days, with the likes of Meatcastles, Bun & Sum, Baggio Burger, and World Famous Gordos among the names confirmed so far. Visitors will be able to vote for their favourite, with the People's Champion crowned after all the votes have been tallied.
Pricewise, it's no McDonald's Saver Menu, but it's a decent deal nonetheless. Admission to the festival starts at £10, and once inside, each vendor will offer at least one classic cheeseburger capped at £10. You can even ask them to cut it in half so they're easier to share with a mate, letting you both try more without making a mess of the whole thing.
