It's pretty cold and bleak out there right now, meaning there's no better time to concentrate on self-care. If you're looking for a way to soothe and refresh yourself, head to King's Cross, where Slow Motion Sauna are popping up between 18th January and 11th February.

A collaboration between Coal Drops Yard and DJ and wellness expert Rob da Bank and his wife, this is a Scandinavian-inspired wild spa experience designed to help you relax and nurture both your body and mind. Located at the top of the steps leading into Coal Drops Yard, visitors will be able to enjoy two different saunas, a Lithuanian wood-fired model and an electric sauna donated by The Finnish Institute. Added to that, there are three cold plunge pools that bring multiple health benefits, plus you can finish off with an exfoliating salt scrub to leave your skin looking radiant.

The saunas here are communal and each session lasts for one hour – groups and individuals are welcome. Swimwear is compulsory and you'll need to bring your own towel. Booking in advance is essential and you can book your slot on the King's Cross website.
