As the Guinness Men's Six Nations rolls back around, the Guinness Open Gate Brewery in Covent Garden is leaning into its role as more than just a place for a pint. On Sunday 1 March, the brewery is hosting “In Conversation With: England Rugby” – a live fan event that brings together player access, food, music and, unsurprisingly, Guinness.
Set inside the brewery's Guinness Vaults event space, the afternoon is designed for rugby fans who want something a bit more engaging than watching the match at the pub. Running from 12:30pm to 4:30pm, the event will be hosted by former England international Shaunagh Brown, who'll lead a live Q&A with a panel of current England squad members. Expect behind-the-scenes chat, reflections on this year's Championship, and a chance for the audience to put their own questions to the players.
As title partner of the Six Nations, Guinness has been pushing fan-first experiences across the Championship, and this one feels very much in that spirit: informal, interactive, and rooted in the buzz of a match weekend. Beyond the rugby talk, there's plenty to keep the afternoon ticking along. Guests will get a live DJ set, plus food from chef Calum Franklin, known for his indulgent pies.
The ticket price includes a pint of Guinness or one of the brewery's rotating limited-edition craft brews, giving attendees a chance to try something they might not find at their local. Plus, it's all housed inside the working brewery itself, right in the heart of Covent Garden.
