Hackney Wick doesn't really do quiet weekends. Between the breweries, galleries, clubs and canalside hangouts, the neighbourhood is basically built for late nights and long afternoons that accidentally turn into early mornings. And this September is no exception, as the canalside district will host Jazz on Wick on Saturday, 13 September, a brand-new day-to-night festival that takes place across multiple venues.

This exciting new festival features more than 40 artists and collectives at some of the top venues throughout the area. Expect Dele Sosimi's Afrobeat fire, IG Culture's jazz-fusion wizardry, and BINA.'s beats, plus street food from various noteworthy vendors.

The Wick itself will be buzzing, with gigs and pop-ups at some of the area's best spots: Colour Factory, Number 90 Bar & KitchenGrow, and the canalside hub Hackney Bridge, which is also dishing up street food from Bovine Burgers, Made in Puglia, Mex Club and more.

Jazz on Wick marks a new chapter for the area and shows why Hackney Wick remains one of London's most exciting cultural hubs. Book tickets to the festival here and afterparty tickets here.
