The annual Boat Race is this Sunday, and Sam's Riverside is one of the best spots to catch all of the action – and have a great meal while doing so to boot.
Nearly 200 years of fierce rivalry between Cambridge and Oxford students will again come to a head this weekend when the men's and women's boat crews take to the water to determine the winner of this year's Boat Race. One of the oldest and best-known amateur sporting events in the world, the Boat Race on the Thames always draws crowds of eager spectators cheering from the banks and bridges, but those who prefer a bit more comfort to go with the views can also book a table at one of the restaurants along the Championship Course.

Situated right next to Hammersmith Bridge, Sam's Riverside offers an excellent vantage point for watching the race and soaking up the electric atmosphere. The contemporary British restaurant by Sam Harrison is making sure you won't go hungry or thirsty, either, as they'll be serving up a proper Sunday lunch with all the trimmings, accompanied by classic cocktails and desserts from the two competing universities.
The Boat Race begins at 1.21pm (women's) and 2.21pm (men's). You can book your spot at Sam's Riverside here.
