The popular Humble Grape wine bars, soon to be found at six locations, are cosying up for autumn and introducing a brand-new menu.
The specifics vary from location to location, as the group wants to give free reign to the individual chefs, but you can expect tasty small plates such as Chilli Fried Chicken with cauliflower leaf kimchi and lime aioli, Venison Carpaccio with black garlic aioli, parmesan and rocket, and Slow-Cooked Halloumi with tomato ragu. Heartier dishes such as Duck Breast with Delica pumpkin, kale, port and truffle jus, or Blackened Aubergine with confit tomato, crispy barley and tahini are available as well, perfect for when the evenings start turning chilly. Of course, all this tasty food comes with Humble Grape’s signature assortment of over 400 different wines from throughout the world, including less-expected regions.
That’s not all that’s coming through the Grapevine, however. You might have noticed we mentioned SIX locations above, even though Humble Grape devotees know there are currently only five in London. Well, come November, they’ll have to revise that number, as a new Humble Grape will open in Crouch End. The characteristically cosy neighbourhood wine bar will feature an al fresco terrace and a semi-private dining room in the cellar, along with the usual wining and dining indulgences.
The exact opening date hasn’t been announced yet. We’ll update this article as soon as it’s revealed.
