Every December, hundreds of volunteers put on their best Santa Claus fit and descend on the streets of London, bringing joy and cheer and a bit of festive madness to the city.

The annual Santacon will take place this Saturday, so expect to see a tide of red flood the streets. Described as “a non-profit, non-political, non-religious and non-sensical Christmas parade”, the fun event features hundreds of volunteers dressed up as Santa running around London, handing out trinkets to kids, singing carols, judging passersby as naughty or nice – in short, doing all of the things expected of the big man himself.

The event is open to everyone who has a full Santa outfit. The parade usually meets at the Leake Street Arches, but you can follow the Facebook event here for more info.
