Renowned author and chef Ixta Belfrage has crafted a one-off menu for Isla at The Standard London, the hotel's Isla restaurant. The menu showcases her favourite flavours and dishes from the past, present, and future.
An accomplished chef and cookbook author, Ixta Belfrage honed her skills during a five-year stint at Yotam Ottolenghi's test kitchen before unveiling her debut cookbook, "Mezcla," in 2022. Her culinary repertoire draws inspiration from Italy, Brazil, and Mexico, reflecting her experiences living and travelling through these vibrant destinations.
The new menu at Isla is seasonal, highlighting light proteins and a carefully curated wine selection. Perfect for any mealtime, whether it's a leisurely al fresco lunch or a morning business meeting. Relax in the peaceful garden terrace, equipped with a retractable all-weather awning, offering dining year-round.
Expect lots of guava margaritas alongside some of Ixta's most iconic dishes, like her Prawn Lasagna and Guava Roast Duck Tacos. For dessert, you'll find honey-roasted cashew ice cream and sorbet, amongst more, best paired with a shot of Casamigos Blanco.
Ixta's menu will be served in The Standard London's ground floor oasis, Isla, until 22 June.
