Kricket Shoreditch is shaking up your morning routine with the launch of a brand new Breakfast Thali, a tasting-style platter packed with soft pao rolls and enough masala chai to get you through even the bleakest 8am.
Launching 20th October, just in time for Diwali, Kricket's new breakfast feast is all about sampling the best of the menu in one go. Think fluffy pao rolls stuffed with crispy bacon and tomato chutney, or spicy Goan sausage with salli potatoes. There's also perfectly spiced eggs bhurji (Indian scrambled eggs), crispy Andhra hash browns, and a punchy tamarind brown chutney that could easily replace your regular HP.
You'll also get a warming chole (chickpea curry) and a bowl of vanilla shrikhand topped with granola, blackberries, and seasonal fruit. Everything comes with a cup of Kricket's freshly brewed masala chai.
And in true Diwali spirit, there's a sweet deal to go with it: the first 30 Breakfast Thalis ordered each day from 20 to 31 October are completely free, whether you book or just stroll in. After that, it's £15 a head, still a solid shout for a breakfast that'll probably outshine your usual smashed avo.
Kricket's always been good at taking Indian flavours and weaving them into something distinctly London, and this new breakfast setup looks like another excuse to skip your Pret run and start your morning with something a little more special.
