Guided museum tours are generally a more serious affair than not, but this upcoming tour of the Royal Museums Greenwich storage facility offers a much more irreverent take.

Verity Babbs

Art Laughs features comedians and art critics guiding participants through the weird and wonderful objects stored at the Prince Philip Maritime Collections Centre, offering a humorous behind-the-scenes look at the UK's largest maritime collection. The guided tour will be led by art historian and comedian Verity Babbs, who will be joined by three top improv comedians – Josie Peters, Billy Morton, and Aman Arya. The event will finish with a panel discussion of selected objects, providing a deeper look at the Royal Museums Greenwich exhibition and the works of its conservation centre.

Art Laughs will take place at the Prince Philip Maritime Collections Centre at 6pm on Saturday 10 January and is suitable for adults. Standard tickets are priced at £20 and include a welcome drink. You can book your spot here.
