This Christmas, London's famed Leicester Square will host its first-ever ice rink, Skate Leicester Square, opening on 1 November and running until 4 January. Organised by Underbelly, the company behind the nearby Underbelly Boulevard theatre and production such as “Cabaret at the Kit Kat Club”, Skate will transform the West End with festive lights, music, and an outdoor rink around the Shakespeare statue at the square's centre.

Alongside the rink, a Christmas market will offer seasonal food, drinks, and gifts to complete the winter experience. Underbelly has produced “Christmas in Leicester Square” for nine years and sees this as a fresh evolution of the tradition. The festive event will also raise funds for charity, with optional donations to the Angel Child Fund at The Brain Tumour Charity.
Open daily from 10am to 10pm to both advance bookings and walk-ups, Skate will features 45-minute skating sessions in the heart of the West End, with tickets starting at £14.50 for adults, £9.50 for children, and £40 for families. You can find out more and book your spot here.
