The notoriously fractious Gallagher brothers appear to have reached a ceasefire and announced the reunion and return of one of rock's most iconic bands in history. Oasis will be launching a world tour next year with multiple dates in the UK.
For years, the idea of Liam and Noel Gallagher together on stage seemed firmly in the domain of wishful thinking, with the famously quarrelsome siblings content to snipe at each other in interviews and online while working on their respective solo projects. However, there appears to have been a dip in the temperatures in hell, as the brothers seem to have finally reconciled their differences and announced a reunion tour in what is arguably the music news of the year, if not decade.
With the band's universally acclaimed debut “Definitely, Maybe” having come out 30 years ago this year and its equally excellent follow-up “(What's the Story) Morning Glory?” celebrating the same milestone next year, the reunion comes at a very opportune time. Marking the first time since 2009 the brothers will share a stage, the Oasis world tour will kick off next summer with a series of dates across the UK and Ireland, including multiple shows in London and Manchester, with further international dates still to be announced.
Here's the full list of Oasis concert dates announced so far:
- 4, 5 July / Cardiff, Principality Stadium
- 11, 12, 16, 19, 20 July / Manchester, Heaton Park
- 25, 26, 30 July and 2, 3 August / London, Wembley Stadium
- 8, 9 August / Edinburgh, Scottish Gas Murrayfield Stadium
- 16, 17 August / Dublin, Croke Park
The rather suspicious gap in the London dates has us suspecting more shows at Wembley will be added, which is good news for anyone hoping to score tickets to the gig of the year. Speaking of which, if you're wondering how to get tickets for the Oasis tour, read on.
Tickets for the Oasis 2025 UK shows will go on sale on Saturday, 31 August 2024, at 9am BST. They'll be available via Ticketmaster and GigsandTours. Time to dig out your bucket hat, set your alarm, and keep your fingers crossed the Gallagher brothers don't start feuding again over Christmas dinner.
