Following a winter hiatus, the charming garden retreat in Chelsea is reopening with a number of fascinating events to enjoy in the lead-up to spring proper. On Sunday 26 January, visitors will be able to try their hand in the ancient Japanese art of making kokedama moss balls – small plants encased in a moss-covered ball of soil. During the family-friendly workshop you'll create your own springtime kokedama using seasonal snowdrops.

Snowdrops will be in the spotlight at the Chelsea Physic Garden all week long, with a snowdrop folklore talk and tea on the programme on Monday, as well as guided snowdrops and winter plants tours on Wednesday and on 12 February. A self-guided trail to help you discover the snowdrop varieties in the Garden's collection has also been set up.
Spring-themed events will take place at London's oldest botanical garden all the way through to the end of March, including a seasonal plant sale and volunteer-led tours. You can find out more and book your spot here.
