Mazarine, the latest project from Khaled Dandachi and Fred Srouchi (the duo behind Sparrow Italia), is set to open on Hanover Square later this month, bringing a slice of coastal France to central London.
Headed up by Thierry Laborde, whose résumé includes stints at Le Gavroche, LPM, and Monaco's three-Michelin-starred Le Louis XV, Mazarine is shaping up to be the kind of place where the seafood's impeccable, the service is immaculate, and the wine list is just as good.
The focus is on refined French coastal cooking, such as smoked eel croquettes, Cornish crab ravioli in lobster broth, Niçoise salad, and a grand aioli with salt cod, sea urchin, and langoustines. There'll also be meat dishes like aged fillet of beef with truffle sauce and coquelet with piment d'Espelette for anyone who prefers something heartier.

Inside, it's being designed by Bolt Design Studio (the team behind several sleek New York restaurants), promising warm lighting, elegant accents, and Mayfair-esque luxury.
Mazarine is set to open its doors on Hanover Square in late November. Just in time for cosy winter dinners and a glass (or three) of Chablis.
