“More than Human” is a landmark exhibition at the Design Museum, presenting the world's first major showcase dedicated to “more-than-human” design. It features over 140 works by more than 50 artists, designers, and architects.

The exhibition questions human-centred design and explores how we might design in collaboration with other species and ecosystems. It's structured into three parts: Being Landscape, Making with the World, and Shifting Perspective, examining our place within nature, practical multispecies design solutions, and how non-human species perceive the world. Highlights include octopus-inspired artworks, seaweed sculptures, a multispecies pavilion, and a tapestry created from a pollinator's point of view. Several installations challenge visitors to empathise with non-human life, while accompanying events include a symposium and outdoor installations. Together, the exhibition and research programme offer a powerful rethinking of design's role in addressing climate and ecological crises.
“More than Human” is on at the Design Museum from 11 July to 5 October 2025 (closed on Mondays). You can find out more about the exhibition and book tickets here.
