Lusin is an award-winning group of successful restaurants that encompasses several venues in its native Saudi Arabia. For their first international venture, they’ve chosen Mayfair, where they’ll be offering their Armenian and Lebanese fusion cuisine in an elegant setting.
Inspired by Armenian heritage, the 100-seater Lusin in Mayfair will feature authentic decor, made from, for example, colourful tuff stone sourced from the Armenian mountains. The food will likewise draw on the country’s rich heritage, giving traditional dishes an authentic, contemporary spin that is sure to thrill and delight fans of Middle Eastern feasting.
The menu at Lusin is curated by two Michelin-starred chef Marcel Ravin and includes signature items such as the Famous Cherry Kebab – spiced kebab skewers, charcoaled and then covered with a home-made sour cherry sauce – and the Lusin Kibbeh, prepared with a special recipe of mixed daily-fresh meat, bulgur and nuts, seasoned with distinctive Armenian spices, and savoured with pomegranate molasses.
Vegetarians aren’t left out, either, as they’ll be able to dig into creative house dishes such as the Lusin Salad, made with a smoky baked aubergine with vegetables and herbs coulis, topped with shredded Armenian cheese. Plenty of fresh-baked lavash flatbreads are to be expected as well, while desserts such as honey cake will round off your culinary trip. You’ll also be able to complement your meal with signature cocktails by mixologist Giancarlo Mancino of Rosewood Hotels, as well as Armenian wines.
Lusin opens on 31st October.
