Country music has been taking off in a big way on this side of the pond in recent years, so it comes as no surprise there's a barnstorming new festival taking over Tooting Common this weekend.

There's probably no need for fans of country music to dust off their cowboy hats and boots, as there's no shortage of fun country music events to be found in London in recent years. Regardless, there's always room for more horses at the hitching post, and Country on the Common is just the thing for anyone looking for a proper summer hoedown. The two-day festival features a stacked line-up, headlined by The Shires and Noah Reid, with the likes of Ward Thomas and Remember Monday on supporting duties.

In addition to the music, the festival will be hosting all sorts of fun activities and events throughout the weekend, including line dancing, axe throwing competitions, lassoing lessons, and more. Proper Tex Mex grub and craft drinks will be served as well, and there will also be family-friendly things to do for little ones.

Country on the Common takes place on 5 and 6 July. You can find out more and book tickets here.
