This September, Savile Row celebrates 50 years of the Golden Shears Awards with a special two-week programme during London Fashion Week. Running from 15–27 September 2025, the event honours half a century of tailoring excellence and the role of the awards in championing young British talent.

Golden Shears 2025 winners

Known as the “Oscars of the tailoring world,” the Golden Shears have, since 1974, brought together apprentice tailors and fashion students to showcase skill, creativity, and innovation. To mark the anniversary, past winners and entrants will have their work displayed in the windows of Savile Row's most renowned tailoring houses, including Dege & Skinner, Huntsman, Richard James, Henry Poole & Co, Knatchbull, and Clothsurgeon. A dedicated free exhibition will also run at 19 Savile Row, hosted by the London Academy of Bespoke, exploring the history and impact of the awards.

The celebration not only highlights the enduring importance of apprenticeship and training but also underscores the continuing influence of bespoke tailoring on British fashion.
