For its final weekend of the 2024 season, South Facing Festival is bringing none other than the son of Bob Marley himself to Crystal Palace.
Like his iconic father, Damian “Jr. Gong” Marley is a highly accomplished reggae musician known for classic songs such as “Welcome to Jamrock”, as well as high-profile collaborations with the likes of Nas, Gwen Stefani, and Mariah Carey. The four-time Grammy winner will be headlining a chill day of music at the legendary Crystal Palace Bowl as part of the South Facing Festival outdoor concert on Saturday 10 August. He'll be supported by Birmingham's legendary roots reggae band Steel Pulse, 2023 Best Reggae Album Grammy Award winner Kabaka Pyramid, lovers rock reggae star Romain Virgo, and Channel One Sound System, a Notting Hill Carnival mainstay for more than 40 years.
In addition to Marley and friends, South Facing Festival is wrapping up the final weekend of its 2024 edition with a headline show by singer-songwriter star Jess Glynne on Friday 9 August. The festival is also hosting The Originals, a one-day electronic dust-up featuring the likes of Andy Mills, Supa D, and Kismet on Sunday 11 August.
