In the cosy days between Christmas and New Year's, floating lazily down a canal while munching on one last mince pie seems like the perfect Twixmas activity.

The London Canal Museum in King's Cross is offering just that. Their seasonal mince pie cruise takes passes through Islington Tunnel before turning and heading to St. Pancras, where its turns again and heads back to the museum. During the trip, a warm fruit drink or tea or coffee are served, along with a local mince pie and cream. As you enjoy the snack, your guide will tell you about the history of the canal, the tunnel, and the route.

The winter boat cruise takes place on select days and lasts just over an hour. Tickets cost £15 for children and £21 for adults – you can book yours here.
