If you're curious about the world behind 'Hamnet', the much-talked-about Paul Mescal and Jessie Buckley drama, there's a free exhibition popping up in Fitzrovia that should scratch the itch.
'Even as a Shadow, Even as a Dream' opens at 6 Fitzroy Square and gives a close look at how Chloé Zhao has built her Tudor England, from the woods around Stratford to the Globe's stage. The space is curated by Simindokht Dehghani and pulls together props, set pieces, artwork and personal writings from Zhao and Buckley.
It's designed as a walk-through of the film's atmosphere rather than a straight-up making-of, so you can dip into sketches, photography, and bits of world-building that never make it into trailers. Walk-ins are welcome, although booking is available if you want to be sure you can get in.
If you're eyeing up Hamnet's cinema release in January, this is a neat way to get ahead of the hype and spend an hour in a very different version of London.
Free tickets via Eventbrite. Walk-ins available.
