In honour of a collaboration between luxury fashion company Loewe and Hayao Miyazaki's beloved Studio Ghibli, Selfridges will host various themed events and spaces throughout February.
To start off, Dolly's Café on the lower ground floor of the famed department store will be taken over by French culinary studio Balbosté and turned into Calcifer's Kitchen. From February 1 to 28, they'll be serving up delicately crafted dishes depicting scenes and characters from Howl's Moving Castle, the 2004 animated classic that inspired the latest capsule collection by the Loewe designer brand.
In addition to the café pop-up, the neighbouring Old Selfridges Hotel space will host The Cloud Room, an immersive behind-the-scenes exhibition exploring the making of Loewe's luxury collection, with a particular focus on the Moving Castle bag.
Finally, if you haven't had the chance to see Hayao Miyazaki's masterpiece yet, or are simply yearning for a rewatch, you can do it in style at The Cinema at Selfridges. The luxury cinema will be screening Howl's Moving Castle at select times in February, with Studio-Ghibli-themed drinks and snacks available as well.
It's all to celebrate the release of Loewe's exclusive new capsule collection, their third and final homage to the award-winning Studio Ghibli animation studio, following their two tributes to Spirited Away. The collection drops in select stores around the world on February 2.
If you're interested in attending any of the above experiences, you can book your slot via the Selfridges website here.
