To celebrate Black History Month, which starts on 1st October, London Museum Docklands is hosting a series of free talks exploring the stories of Black lives in London, spanning from the Tudors to the Windrush generation.

The free talks will take place every weekend in October at the Museum of London Docklands, highlighting the contributions and legacies of Black Londoners.

Topics cover all areas, whether you want to uncover the myths surrounding Black Tudors or learn about the vital role Londoners of African heritage played in England's abolition movement. There will also be first-hand accounts from members of the Windrush generation—the Caribbean men and women who responded to Britain's call for help after the Second World War.

The talks are free, but donations to the museum are gratefully received.
