Lightroom, an immersive art gallery in King's Cross, is following up its inaugural show by David Hockney with a trip to the moon, co-written and narrated by none other than Tom Hanks.
“The Moonwalkers: A Journey With Tom Hanks” is an immersive experience hosted by the cutting-edge art gallery Lightroom, which only opened in early 2023. Using the venue's state-of-the-art projection and audio equipment, the epic experience delves into the stories of the Apollo missions to our closest celestial neighbor. In addition to presenting the history of humankind's voyages to the moon, “The Moonwalkers: A Journey With Tom Hanks” also goes behind the scenes of the Artemis programme, the return of crewed surface missions.
“The Moonwalkers: A Journey With Tom Hanks” was co-written by Hollywood legend Tom Hanks and double BAFTA-nominated writer-director Christopher Riley. Hanks also provides the narration, as well as interviewed Artemis astronauts for exclusive insight into the exciting new era of space exploration.
The new immersive exhibition is on at Lightroom from 6 December 2023 to 9 June 2024. Find out more and book tickets here.
