London really starts to feel festive when Covent Garden's lights turn on. And this year, more than 300,000 twinkling lights are back to transform the Piazza, Neal's Yard, Seven Dials, and surrounding streets into a proper winter wonderland, London-style.
The official lights switch-on is Wednesday, November 12, which basically marks the moment the capital collectively says, “Yep, Christmas is here.” Wrap up warm, grab a mate, and soak up all the festive sparkle in one of London's most famous areas.
The iconic 55ft British-grown Christmas tree returns, along with golden bells atop the Market Building, giving you maximum festive vibes (and plenty of selfie opportunities).
For something a bit stronger than mulled wine, Miracle at Henrietta Experimental is also back, and it's double the size of last year. Sip a Christmapolitan or a Snowball Old Fashioned while sitting amongst retro Christmas decor and wandering among the thousands of dazzling lights. The bar will open on November 10, and bookings are now live.
