World Famous Gordos is turning into a love shack for one day only

In honour of this year's Valentine Day, Netil Market slice slingers World Famous Gordos are teaming up with low-intervention winemakers New Theory for a one-off pop-up. 

World Famous Gordos are known (famous, even) for their sizeable New York-style pizza slices, as well as their frequent collabs with other brands. One such pairing is on the way in February, when they'll be turning their Netil Market slice shop into a love shack with the help of New Theory. The independent winemaker brothers aim to bring fresh expressions of low-intervention wines to life, working with South African farmers to make sure the juice is worth the squeeze.

For their joint pop-up, World Famous Gordos will be serving special slices topped with slow-cooked ox-heart ragu, smoked provolone, fior di latte, aged pecorino, and guindilla chillies. You'll be able to wash it down with Love Bite, New Theory's chilled red wine with rich flavours and soft tannins that lasts long into the night.

The love-fuelled World Famous Gordos x New Theory collab will cost £6.90 for a slice and a glass. The offer will run from 4 to 8 pm on Saturday 17 February. Keen-eyed readers will note that that is not, in fact, Valentine's Day. This makes the pop-up especially convenient if you've neglected to book a nice Valentine's Day restaurant (despite our handy guide on the matter). “No, dear, I didn't forget, we're going to an exclusive pop-up a few days after” just might be the relationship-saver you need.
