Covent Garden is an area that has long been associated with enthralling street performers who keep the crowds entertained outside the market. On 17th April you'll be able to watch a rather unexpected type of performance to celebrate the countdown to the next Olympic Games in Paris – synchronised swimmers.

Between 9am and 6pm on the day, skilled athletes will be performing in a special tank every half an hour, showing off some impressive moves that you almost certainly couldn't manage yourself. British Olympic heroes Mo Farah and Greg Rutherford are also expected to be making an appearance at the tank but whether they'll be trying their hand at synchronised swimming is anyone's guess.

The event marks 100 days until the Paris Olympics kicks off later in the year. It's been organised by On Location, the official hospitality partner of the Paris games. It's totally free to watch these exciting underwater athletes – simply turn up on the day and wait for the next performance to begin.
