Taking over the space for a festive weekend, this special edition of Black Eats at Boxpark Croydon on 20 and 21 December is all about picking up something a little different for loved ones (or yourself), all while supporting a charitable cause. There will be more than 40 independent Black-owned brands setting up shop, including a mix of fashion, beauty, homeware, art and giftable bits that feel a little more special than your average last-minute pair of Christmas jammies.
Beyond the shopping, there's enough going on to keep it feeling lively, with DJs on hand throughout the weekend, providing a soundtrack while you wander. There's also a gift-wrapping service, kids' activities, a face painter, and even a tooth gem artist. Boxpark's food and drink options are, of course, still doing their thing, with festive drinks available to keep things seasonal.
Entry is free, making it an easy yes if you're already local or nearby, but donations are encouraged for the Caribbean Hurricane Fund, which supports communities affected by recent hurricanes.
If you're after gifts that feel a bit more personal, or you just want a December activity that isn't another crowded department store, this is a great option to have on your radar.
