Independent and unique queer music venue and bar Folklore is dedicated to continually evolving and developing. The interior of the space has a stripped-back and bohemian style – expect swathes of fabric and twinkling lights, exposed brick and weathered surfaces, and a bustling atmosphere. Its compact size means that it often gets pretty busy - music performances here are intimate and cosy. Sit on mismatched furniture with colourful cushions and surrounded by trailing plants as you enjoy a drink and soak up the atmosphere here. The unique aesthetic here is sure to catch your eye. 

This venue is inclusive and welcoming with a strong sense of community. A packed programme of events is on, including a huge number of musical performances - DJs and live acts are on regularly. As well as the gigs, other fun stuff that's going on here includes yoga classes and meditation workshops, tai chi, brunches, life drawing, and drag comedy shows. The varied schedule means there's always something exciting happening at Folklore. 

The bar here serves a broad choice of drinks, including cocktails. Although there's no food on the menu, you're free to order a takeaway and bring it in. The intimate and easygoing feel at this quirky venue makes it feel more like you're at a house party than out at a bar. There's even a resident cat who you might spot hanging out at the bar and enjoying the music. This spot is easygoing and open-minded, making it a fantastic alternative to a more conventional type of bar.
