We have categorised Hoop & Grapes as:
- Pub
Originally built in 1593, this Aldgate pub is one of the only timber buildings that remained standing after the Great Fire of 1666, which stopped burning only 50 yards away. It's located inside a Grade II listed building and was initially called Hops and Grapes to represent that it served beer and wine. You can enjoy a range of classic pub drinks alongside a menu of comforting food, like shin and pulled brisket pie, game suet pudding and the steak and Nicholson pale ale pie, which won the gold award at the British Pie Awards.
