The Grade II-listed Hope & Anchor in Islington is one of the most famous live music pubs in London, with the likes of The Clash, Dire Straits, Joy Division, and U2 all having played here back in the day, multiple live albums being recorded here, and Madness filming their “One Step Beyond” video here. It's been fully refurbished since those glory days, but remains a hotbed of up-and-coming music talent to this day.
