Housed in a former bank, The Barrowboy & Banker is as stately and majestic on the inside as it is on the outside. Walk through its doors and prepare to have your breath taken away by the grand sweeping staircase of this split-level venue, with black-and-white tiles, a contemporary copper chandelier you can't take your eyes off of, and polished wood panelling and banisters adding to the overall effect.

Across its two levels, The Barrowboy & Banker features several different areas and function rooms, making it well-equipped to deal with whatever private event you plan on hosting here, from business meetings to Christmas parties and birthday celebrations. Of course, there's nothing wrong with just stopping by during opening hours and settling in on the banquettes, pint in hand.

Speaking of pints, this is a Fuller's establishment that features a changing collection of cask ales and beers by both local craft breweries and renowned international names. In addition to the brews, the bar stocks a range of spirits, fine wines and softs, as well as brews a mean cup of Brewer Street coffee.

The Barrowboy & Banker is no slouch when it comes to dining, either, with its fresh, hand-crafted pies having won awards. All the classics are on the menu, from shepherd's pie and steak & Fuller's London Pride pie to fish pie and a traditional Cornish pasty. Small plates, sharers, sandwiches and other British staples are also available, all made from quality seasonal produce, while the Sunday roast is considered to be one of the best in not just the local area, but London as a whole.
