The Harcourt
What happens when you cross an English pub, a Finnish chef, and a Swedish mixologist? You get The Harcourt. This Marylebone gastropub is getting serious attention for its comforting food and cosy ambience. From the outside The Harcourt might look like a run-of-the-mill small pub, but inside you’ll find spaces with light and airy Scandi design, plus a menu with a Nordic influence.
You’re welcome to visit The Harcourt either for food or drinks, and there are several spaces for private events that are full of personality. The oak-panelled pub has a traditional feel and has typical pub entertainment like a weekly quiz and showing sports fixtures. Local beers and spirits are available, plus wines and classic and signature cocktails – the Stockholm Snapper with aquavit will really get you in the spirit. The bar serves snacks as well charcuterie and oysters.
You need to check out the restaurant if you really want to understand Scandinavian dining at The Harcourt. There’s an à la carte menu plus special menus for breakfast, steak night and Sunday roasts. It’s a modern and international menu with a Scandinavian influence. There’s a lot of seafood – prawn toast with cod roe, cured sea trout, and fishcakes are all available – but there are other choices like meatballs, veggie-friendly falafel, and fallow deer with potatoes. This is hearty pub dining with a twist. For private events you can use the main menus or have catering bespoke to you. The Harcourt is a unique venue for any occasion.
