Formerly known as The Hero of Maida but reopening in 2024 with a slightly different name, The Hero is a venture from Phil Winser and James Gummer, the duo behind renowned gastropub The Pelican. The pub was originally built in 1878 but has undergone a revamp to include modern design and exposing its original features. The pub is set across four floors and serves drinks as well as upmarket pub food. The Grill on the first floor specialises in premium cuts of meat and fish, cooked over an open flame.
