The Old Bell Tavern

££ Pub

Located between two Fleet Street shops in a Grade II listed building, The Old Bell is a quintessential London pub dating back to the 17th century. It's a particularly beautiful pub, with its original old signage, a well-worn floor and multi-hued leaded windows giving the space a real sense of character. It's seen the comings and goings of astronomer Sir Christopher Wren, who built the pub for the use of his stonemasons who were rebuilding St Bride's Church after the Great Fire. It's been a licensed tavern for over three centuries and continues to serve Londoners a range of real ales and traditional pub food.
