There's been a pub on the corner in Bethnal Green since the 18th century, but nobody really knows where the name The Salmon & Ball came from. This Grade II listed pub sits at the junction between Cambridge Heath Road and Bethnal Green Road, which is recognisable by its stand-out emerald green exterior. The pub has witnessed many historic moments, including a hanging on its door in 1769. Aside from a few harrowing moments, the pub remains a local favourite, serves an excellent selection of beers, has karaoke, and sometimes hosts live performances.
