William IV is a historic 200-year-old pub in Shoreditch. The restored pub's décor embraces its nautical past, with Georgian interiors, curated artwork, and cosy spaces like the Pink Room for intimate dining. In winter, you can snug up next to the roaring fireplace, and there's outside seating for warmer weather too. The upstairs menu includes standout dishes like Guinness-glazed beef short rib, lemon sole with tarragon sauce, and butterflied mackerel, using classic techniques to highlight quality ingredients. Downstairs, the pub serves refined takes on traditional pub favourites, including classic roast dinners.

A really nice pub with a beautiful, bright dining room, complete with a fireplace. Went here for Sunday lunch and had a great time - the food was excellent. The Guinness soda bread with marmite butter is a bit addictive, and the salmon special was perfect, accompanied by the most amazing potatoes - apparently the secret is butter and I am all here for it. We rounded things off by splitting a sticky toffee pudding and it really hit the spot - just the right amount of sweetness, balanced out by the gelato. I'll definitely be back to try the rest of the menu.

Enjoyed a fabulous roast here. The venue is so lush, such a charming, historic vibe. The food was exceptional - the Guinness bread was remarkable, and the marmite butter was 10/10. Porchetta roast was my fav but the beef was also nice.
