Kapucin

A small, cosy café tucked away towards the tail end of the high street in Richmond, Kapucin is the kind of place you need to know about to make a stop there, and you're very happy if you do. 

That's not to say Kapucin is hard to find, as its dark front and big window look imposingly out onto  the street. There are a couple of tables outside as well, if you're lucky enough to chance upon them when they're available. Otherwise, head into the snug, dimly lit café, order a cup of freshly brewed coffee, peruse the selection of freshly baked croissants, pains au chocolat and other pastries, or sit down and start working your way through the menu.

Kapucin is committed to serving speciality coffee sourced from some of Europe's best roasteries, with the skilled barista team promising the perfect cup of coffee every time. From the classic espresso and flat white to cold brew and V60 filter coffee, there's a range of caffeinated drinks to choose from, with nutritious smoothies available as well.

When it comes to the food, Kapucin collaborates with trusted local producers such as St Ewe eggs and Hedone Bakery to ensure it's using seasonal, low-intervention produce of the finest quality. The menu at this friendly café features affordable all-day brunch classics such as a fry-up or simple eggs, beans or avocado on toast. You can also customise your meal with extras such as sausage and burrata. Salads and specials such as shakshuka and parmigiana are also available, and the house burger is a local favourite. Finally, to round things off, grab some banana bread or a piece of cake and watch the world go by from behind the window counter.
