The original Peggy Porschen café in Belgravia is prime photographer bait, whether for its dainty floral aesthetic or the pretty cake offerings. You can stop by any time from breakfast to the late afternoon and indulge in the all-day breakfast, lunch sandwiches or dainty afternoon tea, but the real stars of the show are the cupcakes, supposedly some of the best in world.

Having trained at Le Cordon Bleu and held top pastry chef positions in London, Peggy Porschen combines her expertise with quality ingredients to craft beautifully designed cakes and cupcakes. The latter come in a variety of creative flavours, from classics such as the red velvet with vanilla cream cheese frosting and pink sugar hearts, to seasonal specials, for example the Banoffee in Bloom, a banana & chocolate chip sponge with a luxurious dulce de leche filling, banana cream cheese frosting, fresh banana, chocolate curls and edible marigold blossom.

In addition to the cupcakes, Peggy Porschen serves layer cakes and bakes, as well as plenty of savoury dishes to prepare the terrain for the inevitable dessert. The breakfast and brunch menu includes different egg dishes, lighter options such as avo toast, croissants, pancakes and more, with mimosas and prosecco to go along. For lunch, you can pick up one of the freshly made sandwiches or salads, while later in the day, you can treat yourself to seasonal afternoon tea with finger sandwiches, cakes and pastries.
