Throughout its existence, East London’s landmark Rio Cinema managed to adapt to survive, resulting in a historic venue with a rich past going back more than a century. Today, the Grade II listed Art Deco building has two screens showing mainstream and independent films, with the larger of the two holding almost 400 people.
