My son had an appointment there today -- we booked 2 months ago. He is 12. We drove 1h20 mn to get there, called ahead to apologise and inform your staff we had hit a terrible traffic issue and were running behind. Arrived 20 mn late, again profusely apologetic. The appointment was booked to be 1h20 mn long . We agreed to reduce the service and still pay the same price. They charge £20 for tardiness and we ALSO accepted to pay this. The staff were very rude and un-understanding, including for a little boy who would then have to spend 90 mn coming back home. Basically kicked us out. This is not what being a safe space is about -- at all. While i understand being late is disruptive, being 20 mn late for an appointment supposed to last 1h20 should be workable and being understanding and kind, especially for a younger customer, should be a priority in a customer-facing business. Furthermore my son is adopted from Ethiopia, i am Caucasian, hence this was to be an opportunity for him to learn about self care. I explained all this and got shut down. Avoid this place. There has to be salons with similar services but a kinder attitude
