Review of Two Columbia Road – by Shan W.

Absolutely shocked at our experience here. Our initial first impression was great, Justin was easy to chat to and very reassuring. We ordered a set of 8 dining chairs from him and awaited delivery over the week. 6 only came but he assured us that the other 2 would be delivered from the warehouse. This was in early January. Over the year we kept following up and were constantly ignored. We aren’t based in London so had to keep texting to ask if they had been delivered from overseas. No reply. We finally get back to London in late Sept, NINE MONTHS LATER. No chairs. We had to basically spring a visit to the shop unannounced to ask where are chairs were. Maybe we’re just too soft spoken but the guy there was so rude and basically said it wasn’t his problem and to take it up with Justin. So we had to text him again, and then go back to the shop. Mind you we don’t live anywhere near this shop. So only after we travelled from Singapore to go see him, he says the chairs will come. So THREE WEEKS after this visit, the chairs have arrived today and…. They did such a rushed job on this chair that it barely has a cushion. I would NOT have bought this chair if I had seen this in the shop. You can see the vast difference in cushion height. Clearly they saw people they thought they could take advantage and took it. Complete disrespect and borderline criminal. How is this in any way acceptable? I’m not even sure if I can get the 2
Chairs replaced at this rate. Do I to wait another year for a replacement? Considering how much I paid for these chairs.. if I wanted this type of treatment I’d go to gumtree.
