You can walk right underneath the Thames when you visit Greenwich Foot Tunnel. Opened in 1902, the tunnel links Greenwich with Island Gardens and is used by thousands of people each day. Walking its entire length takes about 15 minutes and it's a fun experience if you're looking for a more unusual way to get across the river. Domed entrances to the tunnel are clearly visible on both sides.
