Mayfield Lavender Farm

A working lavender farm on the very edge of London, Mayfield Lavender Farm is accessible by public transport. It's only open during lavender season (mid-June to August), when you can stroll through the endless rows of lavender, ride a tractor train around the fields, and take photos of the picturesque scenery, particularly the telephone box plonked down in the middle of the lavender fields. The farm even runs its own photo competition. A gift shop and a café where they serve afternoon tea and other treats are also available.
