Wembley Stadium

A global icon that has seen championships won and squandered, witnessed some of the greatest sporting moments in history, and hosted spectacular shows by superstar musicians, Wembley Stadium is a world-renowned football stadium located in London. 

The stadium is a distinctive and iconic landmark, known for its impressive arch, which towers over the surrounding area at a height of 134 m and is the world's longest unsupported roof structure. The current stadium's construction began in 2002 and was completed in 2007, replacing the original Wembley Stadium that was built in 1923.

Wembley Stadium has a seating capacity of 90,000 spectators, making it the largest stadium in the UK and the second-largest stadium in Europe. It is home to the England men's national football team and hosts major football events, including the FA Cup Final, select UEFA Champions League Finals, and UEFA Euro games.

The stadium has a rectangular-shaped pitch and is surrounded by four tiers of seating, with the lower tier closest to the pitch. The seating is arranged in a bowl shape, which ensures excellent sightlines for all spectators. The stadium also features 34 bars, eight restaurants, and a range of food and drink outlets.

One of the most distinctive features of Wembley Stadium are the giant LED screens located at either end of the stadium, which provide spectators with replays and other important information during events. The stadium also has a retractable roof that can be closed to protect spectators from adverse weather conditions. Tours of the stadium are available as well.

In addition to football, Wembley Stadium has also hosted a range of other events, including historic music concerts by some of the biggest stars in the world, boxing matches, and NFL games. It is a truly versatile venue that has played host to some of the world's most memorable and iconic sporting and cultural moments.
