Drawing on Britain's historic role as a naval superpower, the National Maritime Museum features interactive displays, nautical curiosities and even a record-breaking speedboat in a well-designed building. It's part of Royal Museums Greenwich, so you can easily combine your visit with a look at the iconic Cutty Sark parked nearby or hop up the hill to the famed Royal Observatory.

Very cool museum even if you aren't that into naval stuff. The displays are very well done and there's lots of exciting things to see and do.

Really impressive maritime museum! I was not expecting much when we went, as I am not super interested in the subject matter, but found it engaging and expansive, so we ended up spending much more time there than expected.
