The sibling of the upstairs Oma, Agora counterbalances the latter's restrained elegance with a lively atmosphere, fuelled by the hustle and bustle of Borough Market. The relaxed Greek restaurant features smoky Athenian street food including spit-roast pig, accompanied by refreshing cocktails. During the day, you can also pick up a takeaway coffee or a pastry here. In the evenings, expect a more intimate yet convivial vibe.

Still reeling from the culinary journey that was our first-time experience at Agora in Borough Market. From entry to exit - our entire dining was nothing short of exceptional. The flitting buzz, the friendly staff, the fresh bites & beverages - this bustling, Greek-inspired restaurant is the epitome of energy and excellence.

Every tantalising taste of a new dish unveils another layer of intentionality in a distinctly thoughtful menu - a testimony to both the skill and sheer dedication of the restaurant’s entire team. After our feast for the senses, meeting owner David Carter left me with the impression that this guy is a legend in the league of London’s leading restaurants. Humble, hard-working and more than happy to share his journey to Oma & Agora with us.

This hotspot is an absolute must if you find yourself in the Borough Market area of London, if you can manage to snag a seat amongst the swarm of prospective patrons.

P.S. The chard borani and wild garlic butter flatbread duo momentarily silenced me and my friend - an honorary pause for the cause that is a true delight for your tastebuds.

A huge congratulations to David and his team of experts. This place easily takes number 1 on my list of London favourites.
