Daddy Bao
After a successful few years of Peckham's Mr Bao, Daddy Bao was born in Tooting. The restaurant is an ode to the owner's (Joe's) dad, who arrived in the UK off the boat in 1975, working three jobs simultaneously to follow his dream and open his own restaurant. They work with incredible suppliers they consider part of the family, such as Flock & Herd butchers and Bloody Ben's Gin. The food is inspired by the traditional recipes from Joe's dad's childhood, such as bao buns in an assortment of flavours paired with tangy side dishes.
